The Darknet Search

How to search for data in Darkweb At our disposal was the base of more than eight thousand links to sites in the darkweb. This is almost a complete registry of working open resources available in Tor Hidden Services. We chose the most interesting ones to tell you how to search for data in the darkweb.

How to access the darkweb

Forum carders, a collection of photos of women who crush animal heels,, women with leaves and cones of marijuana in intimate places, someone’s file-washing machine with a bunch of books and old issues of the Hacker, a forum for weapons lovers, photos writing women, an archive of books in Chinese, a forum for men keen on penis enlargement, and, of course, drugs in all forms, forms and states of aggregation. All this can be seen in less than ten minutes of exploring the dark side of the web.

Digging up something in this pile of garbage is not so easy. We automatically went through all the links, and only 8,300 of the eight thousand pages opened. About a thousand sites require authorization on the move or show the login form without any explanation – here you cannot drive a goat on the curve. A lot of empty pages, pages with default response of the web server, as well as a variety of mirrors, clones and stubs. In general, even if we take into account that some potentially useful sites are not available 100% of the time and simply did not get into our database, in general, there are not so many living resources – maybe a couple of thousand.

Using Tor from Python
It is not much more difficult to request pages from your scripts via Tor than from the regular Internet. All you need is a local Tor node (just open the Tor Browser), Python, and the SocksiPy library . Here is a script that downloads The Pirate Bay main page through Tor and displays its contents. You will surely figure out how to download something else.

import socks, socket, urllib

url = "http://hss3uro2hsxfogfq.onion"

def create_connection(address, timeout=None, source_address=None):
    sock = socks.socksocket()
    sock.connect(address)
    return sock

socks.setdefaultproxy(socks.PROXY_TYPE_SOCKS5, "127.0.0.1", 9150, True)
socket.socket = socks.socksocket
socket.create_connection = create_connection

contents = urllib.urlopen(url).read()
print contents

What are these resources? After the preliminary sorting it turned out that the set of topics is extremely narrow. Much of the sites are shops and marketplaces, made in the form of forums or auctions in the image of eBay. Drugs, weapons, fake documents, stolen goods, credit cards, exploits, botnets – all this can be found in a variety of virtual collapses. We will talk more about specific examples.

Sites offering various services, from laundering bitcoins to contract killings, can be attributed to this category. And if the first one sounds believable, then the second is most likely a hoax. Fraud, consider, is adjacent to the segment of stores, making it even more.

Another big segment is porn. From delights like those listed at the beginning of the article, to the usual variety, which is full and on the open Internet.

Actually, a considerable share of resources raises the question: so why was it hidden in .onion? Libertarian blogs, hacker manifestos, home pages … Often it seems that someone just wanted to show off or practice layout of the site in a fashionable way. Such resources disappear one by one – their owners quickly realize that it’s expensive to keep the server, but there’s no sense from it.

darknet search engine

The first thing you want to provide yourself, being in an alternative version of the Internet, is a search engine. There seems to be no problem: there are

and maybe another two or three lesser-known attempts to repeat the success of Google in a darknet.
We will not take a look at comparing search engines, objectively evaluating the quality of the issue: we need tricky metrics and methods that we don’t have. According to purely subjective feelings, Grams has seriously spammed results, but not Evil and Torch weakly sort the issue: at the top, instead of large sites, there can be completely random garbage. This is not always a disadvantage (garbage can also be interesting), but Fess seemed to be the most pleasant to us as a result.

darknet search engine

That’s just in the case of the darkweb search a la Google – this is far from the same cool and universal solution as in the normal Internet. First, the most interesting thing is hidden in the forums, which often require authorization, and search engines are in the span. Secondly, the resources in general are so scarce that the search loses all meaning: for different requests you will meet the same sites, plus a variety of garbage that has nothing to do with business. Well, this is not to mention the fact that in the

Darqube search engines have little chance to track user behavior through analogues of Google Analytics and AdWords, in order to improve the quality of the results.

darknet search engines

The solution to the problem in the usual Internet was found before the advent of modern search engines and looks like a catalog of useful links. In a sense, this article is just such a directory, we just selected the most interesting living resources at the moment, and also, of course, we do not earn money by placing links.
The situation with other popular directories in the darkweb is different: on the well-known Hidden Wiki most of the links do not open at all, and the prioritization and selection principle raises serious questions to the owners of the resource. There is also the Onion URL Repository , OnionDir , Yet another Tor Directory , TorLinks , HD Wiki .

email on dark web Providers

A fully anonymized mailbox is a useful thing, and, of course, such services exist. But you know, the demand here is very specific: not only hackers, spies, political dissidents and informers want to send letters and leave no traces, but also spammers, extortionists, botvodov and other fans of automation of all stripes. This imposes a lot of restrictions.

The most popular mailer that works through Tor is called Torbox (http://torbox3uiot6wchz.onion) .

A simple provider is Torbox, a TOR-only service. This means that no clearweb connections are made, making this email darknet exclusive. If the recipient isn’t using a Torbox-certified provider, the email will not be sent, even if it’s darknet compatible. Currently Torbox supports emails to and from lelantos.org, maskedmail.com, mail2tor.com, mailtor.net and safe-mail.net.
There is other Email providers like:

  • ProtonMail – protonirockerxow.onion
  • Torbox – torbox3uiot6wchz.onion
  • Bitmessage – bitmailendavkbec.onion, clearweb
  • Mail2Tor – mail2tor2zyjdctd.onion
  • RiseUp – nzh3fv6jc6jskki3.onion, clearweb
  • Cock.li (NSFW) – cockmailwwfvrtqj.onion, clearweb
  • Lelantos – lelantoss7bcnwbv.onion paid accounts only
  • Autistici – wi7qkxyrdpu5cmvr.onion, clearweb
  • AnonInbox – ncikv3i4qfzwy2qy.onion paid accounts only
  • VFEMail – 344c6kbnjnljjzlz.onion, clearweb
  • TorGuerrillaMail – Temporary EMail grrmailb3fxpjbwm.onion/

Darknet WebHosting

The early Internet was different because for those who wanted to open their website there were plenty of opportunities to do it for a penny or even for free – in exchange for a banner or at least a link to the host. In Onion, the situation is different: Finding a good web hosting is very hard, a free hosting in the darknet is rare  but today we have Daniel hosting and it’s totally free:

Darknet WebHosting

 free hosting has not taken root, and paid ones do not look very attractive.
The reason for this is simple: pay for hosting, access to which can only be obtained through Tor, are mainly drug dealers and other gangsters. If you do not intend to join them, then you can easily deploy a server at home, or find a hosting provider that will not be outraged by the fact that you run Tor on its server. Even for criminal activity, they often resort to the services of so-called bulletproof-hosts, which also work with clearnet.

darknet web hosting

But since we are talking about hosting in the darknet, then we give a couple of examples.
1- Real Hosting costs 0.25 BTC per year and gives only 256 MB of space and 1 TB of traffic

http://hosting6iar5zo7c.onion/

Kowloon Hosting Services has flexible billing – from 0.04 BTC per month for 256 MB to 0.8 BTC for six months and 2 GB.

Darknet File Sharing

If the free hosting in Onion is tight, then there are plenty of places where you can temporarily save a file, a picture or a piece of text.
Felixxx Image Uploader & Pastebin  Host your image or pastebin for 30 days

http://felixxxboni3mk4a.onion/

and PopFiles you can temporarily save a file, a picture or a piece of text. For files smaller than 500 Kbytes

you can host text on

Any of them allows you to set a timer on which information will be erased. On Stronghold Paste there is a section with archives – you can ask what kind of nonsense they post there. To keep your data from this list, do not forget to put the Private checkbox. Note that Pasta has a text size limit of 10 MB. If you wish, it is quite possible to post a file encoded in Base64 here.

darkweb torrent

What usually hides in the dark corners of the Internet, except for drugs and bare cries? Of course, warez! Nowadays, however, there is no particular fun: there is a mirror of The Pirate Bay , and it generally covers most of the pirate needs. RuTracker does not have a separate service in Onion (Tor allows you to go to RuTracker.org bypassing the lock), but Rutor has one . You can also take a look at Schoronil – this site is an order of magnitude smaller (1.6 million hands versus 25 million from Rutor), but an extra chance to find something rare will not hurt.

Darkweb Books Library

For book lovers in a darkweb also have everything you need – first of all it is the Imperial Library of Trantor with 303964 books . however here is a list of the darkweb site we found for this:

darknet social network

Going to the hiddenservice, just to get worn out, is definitely an entertainment for an amateur. In the usual web there are enough resources on which you can anonymously register (or not register at all) and chat about anything you want. Onion sites speak mostly about business. What – you probably already understood.

There are not so many places for free communication, but they exist. So here is some of the links we know :

  • 8chan http://oxwugzccvk3dk6tj.onion/index.html
  • Galaxy3 http://galaxy3m2mn5iqtn.onion/
  • Psycho Social Network :i prefer not to share this link , why ? this is the comment of psycho social admin ( Hola – I am the creator of Psycho Social Network – I did this to feed and satisfy my socially unacceptable desires.
  • Connect: http://connectkjsazkwud.onion/Connect It’s a social network with an afterthought market attached to it. Connect makes no guarantee as to the legitimacy of any service on our market.

Hidden Answers ( http://answerstedhctbek.onion/ ) may also be useful . This is something like Yahoo Answers, but with a focus on the darknet and related things. The main topics are the reliability of trading platforms, setting up Tor, and of course, searching for thematic resources. The latter makes Hidden Answers an interesting place to start surfing.
At least for a tick, it is worth mentioning that the Facebook mirror ( https://www.facebookcorewwwi.onion/ ) is working in Onion. For those living in China, it makes sense, for example, Facebook is blocked in China, so going to it via Tor is the best to do.

Generally speaking, a significant part of the correspondence in the shadow side of the Internet does not occur on sites, but in Jabber and IRC. Choosing suitable clients, setting up an anonymous connection and searching for servers and groups is a topic for a separate article, so here we will limit ourselves to a couple of links.

  • TorXMPP http://torxmppu5u7amsed.onion/
  • Cyruserv http://infantilefb6ovh4.onion/

Well, if you suddenly become completely bored and have no one to talk about the weather and the latest explorations on the darknet, then check out Chat with strangers ( http://tetatl6umgbmtv27.onion/ ) – this is the local equivalent of Chatroulette.

this wasn’t a good chat at all , but the next one is better for sure

darknet marketplace

darknet marketplaces – this seems to be the main use of the hidden Tor services for now. Therefore, we dwell on them in a little more detail and (exclusively for research purposes) we will go through the main markets. Generally, when you look through the lists of links, from all these “acropolis”, “Alexandria”, “oases”, “ghettos”, “shops”, ”, “pharmacies” and other corners, the head starts spinning around. The competition is huge, and every bitchy drug dealer tries to snatch his own, shop and thinking of how to stand out.

Dream market: http://lchudifyeqm4ldjj.onion/
one of the best market on the darkweb, Specializes in drugs and digital products. Positions are much smaller, but the whole range of products is the same.

darknet marketplace

T * chka http://tochka3evlj3sxdv.onion/
Another drug store, but unlike the rest – with ideology. “Point” (as the name implies, the creator is Russian) was created a year and a half ago and positioned itself as the first drug market controlling honesty and security of the transaction: to “Point” in English Onion, the concept of “tab” (dead drop, drop-off) not widely spread.

The admin of the site has admitted that he is trying to invest in the market “honesty, security and tolerance in every way”: this can be noticed already during registration, in the warning about the ban on the distribution of poor quality and untested drugs, weapons, poisons, p0rn, extremist materials and discrimination on the basis of race, politics or religion.

Deepweb forums

The hub http://thehub7gqe43miyc.onion/
A dull English-speaking forum about everything that is not allowed in the white fluffy Internet. The vast majority of comments – in the sections For Beginners, Darknet In General and Off Topic, which, as it were, hints at the quality of the audience and discussions. It doesn’t work without javascript. The Vendors section contains dreary attempts at a huge amount of some kind of drug dealers and strung out monotonous reviews of various drug dealers. God, how tiring it is.

Deepweb forums

Hell Forum http://legionhiden4dqh4.onion/
Hacker topics can be found here and there, but specialized forums for the most part are not friendly, and even free registration is rare. For example, the entrance to Hell , one of the most famous forums, costs 0.1 BTC (about $ 60).

Deepnet forums

0day forum http://qzbkwswfv5k2oj5d.onion/

darkweb forums

the open access remains quite a bit. The most popular topic is carding: bays, CVV, cashing for various payment systems, ways to bypass antifraud, discussing where to get dumps. In general, martial Crobers with “Karder Planet” will be boring here, but if you are just interested in the topic, you will definitely learn something new: read the FAQ and click on the links for newbies, which the community generously shares.
As for the rest of the sections in public, then there is a complete chagrin: the chance to find 0day is generally lower than in clearnet. But you can look at the section Accounts and Database Dumps, sometimes there are familiar words like VK or Rambler.
***Of course, it is impossible to take and review the entire Darkweb. First of all, because two thousand links are nevertheless two thousand links and it’s not easy to go through them all (and you don’t need to). You probably caught the general idea, and we hope that we answered the questions “what to see?” And “where to start?”.

The second, even more important point – the “dark” in the word “darknet” nevertheless implies that sites are hidden from outsiders and it is impossible to sneak up on them. No indexing will save, and an individual approach is needed here.

In general, the open part of the darknet  is so reminiscent of the Internet of the nineties, with its characteristic anti-design and total disorder, that nostalgia directly rolls. The main differences: the sites in Onion are much smaller and they are much more criminal. But here you can, like in the good old days, surf the net and feel the wind of freedom blowing from all sides!
